Nashville Children’s Museum

Learning is Fun at the Adventure Science Center. Originally established as the Children’s Museum of Nashville in 1944, the Adventure Science Center is one of the best places in the area to visit if you are traveling with the children. Kids will find a number of wonderful hands-exhibits in the area where they can learn and have a great time.

The Adventure Science Center is a non-profit children’s science museum in Nashville, Tennessee. Over 175 hands-on interactive exhibits cover topics such as biology, physics, visual perception, listening, mind, air and space, energy, and earth science.

Adventure Tower

In the Adventure Tower, kids will be able to explore many different areas of science. Here are just a few of the different things they will be able to see and do. They can climb to the giant globe on top of the tower and look down at the world, and they can create their own roller coaster at the Kinetic Wall. The kids can even walk through a beating heart and step inside a huge guitar to see how it makes a sound.

Body Quest

Body Quest is a 9000 square foot exhibit that looks inside the human body. The kids will learn how the body works and how to keep it healthy

Mission Possible

The exhibits here show how science and medicine are working together to find better ways to help people to overcome their different disabilities.

Space Chase

This is the newest exhibit at the Adventure Science Center. Visitors will be able to undergo simulated astronaut training. You can experience a moonwalk, figure out how much you weigh on Jupiter, and more.

BlueMax

Guests will be able to enter a realistic flight simulator where they can go through flight training, carrier landings, dogfights, and more. BlueMax is a fun, thrilling adventure that everyone will love.

Another popular site at the Center is the planetarium, which plays a variety of different shows throughout the year.

The Center is open from Monday through Saturday from 10AM to 5PM and Sunday from 12:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The museum is closed on Thanksgiving as well as Christmas.

Admission to the museum for adults is $11, students, military with ID, and kids 3 – 12 are $9 and those 2 and under are free. Admission to the planetarium is an additional $6 with general admission, and admission BlueMax is $5 in addition to the general admission.

They have an annual pass for $109 includes 2 adults and 4 kids under 18.

Those in the Nashville area with kids will certainly want to take some time to explore everything the Center has to offer. Children and parents alike will have a great time at the Adventure Science Center.
