While waiting for Winter Storm Avery to pass thru the area before we make our way to Nashville we find ourselves in the City of Blues, Memphis Tennessee. We spend the day exploring around town by going to one of the largest Bass Pro Shops we have ever seen. We then try to find some BBQ for lunch which you would think isn’t that hard to do and then we visit the Peabody Hotel to find the famous Peabody ducks. Afterward we head over to the National Civil Rights Museum for a very moving experience where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr was assassinated in 1964. Finally as happy hour approaches we head back down to Beale Street for dinner at one of Memphis’ famous BBQ joints and hit up a Blues Hall for another night of music.
