Mikayla’s Short Film
The past ten years in Binghampton have been full of promise land hills and wilderness valleys that were draining, enriching, and solidifying our call to this part of the city. My family and I are embarking upon a new phase in our lives. For the past seven years, I have taught Old Testament, New Testament, and Biblical Ethics for a local college preparatory school. My time there has grown my faith, preparation, and leadership tremendously. But working full time at the school: combined with the responsibilities of a husband, father of four, and a full time community pastor, I was not able to sustain a God honoring level of commitment to either of my responsibilities. This past February, through great prayer and counsel, I felt strongly to pursue full time ministry in Binghampton. Ministry is being with, living, laughing, loving, suffering, and serving alongside of others. When I realized I didn’t have time for people, as a shepherd of the bride of Christ, something had to change. At this time, there is a necessity for me to be present more in my home and community. Would you pray about helping us to do just that? We have taken another step of faith and are trusting God to provide. Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
